Storage and local processing

Authorized transcript text, video identifiers, processing-version markers, API operation records, and related administrative information may be stored locally or on private systems operated by the site owner. Local transcript caching is used to avoid unnecessary repeated API downloads. Locally hosted artificial-intelligence software may process authorized transcript and metadata content to prepare suggested text.

mShorts is a private, owner-operated creator tool used to upload and publish authorized videos, Reels, captions, descriptions, and related content to Facebook Pages through Meta's platform services and Graph API. Use of Meta features is also subject to the Meta Terms of Service , Meta Privacy Policy , Meta Platform Terms , and Meta Developer Policies .

Data that may be accessed

Depending on the permissions granted and the publishing workflow used, mShorts may receive or process:

• Basic Facebook account information returned during authorization, such as a user identifier, name, and authorization status.
• Facebook Page names, Page identifiers, Page access information, and information needed to confirm that the authorizing account may manage or publish to a selected Page.
• OAuth access tokens, Page access tokens, granted permissions, token status, and related authentication information needed to make authorized Meta API requests.
• Videos, thumbnails, captions, descriptions, publishing selections, and other content deliberately selected for upload or publication.
• Upload-session identifiers, Facebook video or Reel identifiers, processing status, publication status, timestamps, API responses, and technical error information.

How Meta data is used

Meta Platform data is used only to authenticate authorized users, identify Pages they are permitted to manage, upload selected media, publish or manage authorized Page content, check processing or publication status, avoid duplicate uploads, troubleshoot errors, maintain security, and keep limited administrative records of completed operations.

Content sent to Meta

Media and publishing information selected in mShorts is transmitted to Meta so that Meta can process, store, and publish it on the selected Facebook Page. Once content is published, its visibility, audience, retention, moderation, and availability are governed by the selected Page settings and Meta's services and policies.

Storage and protection

mShorts may store access credentials, Page identifiers, content fingerprints, upload records, processing status, publication identifiers, and diagnostic information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested publishing workflow, prevent duplicate processing, maintain security, or diagnose failures. Authentication tokens are treated as confidential credentials and are not intentionally published or sold.

Limited use and disclosure

Meta Platform data obtained through mShorts is not sold, rented, used to create unrelated advertising profiles, or shared with unrelated third parties. It may be disclosed to Meta as required to perform authorized publishing, to infrastructure or service providers acting on behalf of the site owner, when directed by the user, or when legally required.

Revoking Meta access

You may stop future access by removing mShorts from Facebook's Apps and Websites or Business Integrations settings. Removing the app or integration prevents future non-public access through Meta, but it may not automatically delete data previously stored by mShorts or remove videos and Reels already published to a Facebook Page. Follow the deletion instructions below to request removal of data held by mShorts.

7. mShorts Instagram Business Login and Instagram Platform Data

mShorts also uses the Instagram API with Instagram Login to connect authorized Instagram professional accounts, including eligible Business and Creator accounts. The connection is used to identify the authorized professional account and to upload and publish media, including eligible Instagram Reels, that the account owner deliberately selects. Use of Instagram features is also subject to the Instagram Terms of Use , Meta Privacy Policy , Meta Platform Terms , and Meta Developer Policies .

Instagram permissions and why they are needed

• instagram_business_basic is used to identify and display the authorized Instagram professional account and to read basic account and media metadata needed to confirm the correct publishing destination, show existing media information, prevent duplicate processing, and verify completed publications.
• instagram_business_content_publish is used to create media containers and publish videos, Reels, images, captions, and related content that the authorized account owner deliberately selects for publication.

The uploader workflow described here does not require access to Instagram direct messages, comments, contact lists, passwords, or unrelated personal account information.

Instagram data that may be accessed or processed

Depending on the permissions granted and the action requested, mShorts may receive or process:

• The authorized Instagram professional account identifier, username, account type, profile information, and authorization status.
• Instagram media identifiers and permitted media metadata, such as media type, caption, permalink, thumbnail or media URL, and publication timestamp when returned by the API.
• OAuth access tokens, granted permissions, token status, and related authentication information required to make authorized Instagram API requests.
• Videos, images, captions, descriptions, cover-frame selections, and other publishing information deliberately selected by the account owner.
• Media-container identifiers, Instagram media or Reel identifiers, upload and processing status, publishing status, timestamps, API responses, and technical error information.

How Instagram data is used

Instagram Platform data is used only to authenticate the authorized professional account, identify the intended publishing destination, upload selected media, create and publish authorized Instagram content, check processing or publication status, prevent duplicate uploads, display limited publication results, troubleshoot errors, maintain security, and retain limited administrative records of completed operations.

Content sent to Instagram

Media and publishing information selected in mShorts is transmitted to Meta and Instagram so it can be processed, stored, and published on the selected Instagram professional account. Once published, the content's visibility, audience, retention, moderation, and availability are governed by the account settings and Meta's and Instagram's services and policies.

Storage, limited use, and disclosure

mShorts may store Instagram access credentials, professional-account identifiers, media fingerprints, media-container identifiers, publication identifiers, publishing status, and diagnostic information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the authorized publishing workflow, prevent duplicate processing, maintain security, or diagnose failures. Instagram Platform data is not sold, rented, used to create unrelated advertising profiles, or shared with unrelated third parties.

Revoking Instagram access

You may stop future Instagram access by opening Instagram settings, selecting Website permissions, opening Apps and websites, selecting the active connection, and removing mShorts. Removing access prevents future non-public API access but may not automatically remove data already stored by mShorts or content already published to Instagram. Follow the deletion instructions below to request deletion of data held by the application.

8. mShorts Facebook and Instagram User Data Deletion Instructions

Users who authorized mShorts through Facebook or Instagram may request deletion of personal information and Meta Platform data held by the application. This section may be used as the application's public data-deletion instructions page.

Step 1: Remove the applicable connection

For Facebook authorization

1. Sign in to the Facebook account used to authorize the app.
2. Open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
3. Open Apps and Websites or Business Integrations.
4. Find mShorts and select Remove.

For Instagram Business Login

1. Sign in to the Instagram account used to authorize the app.
2. Open Instagram Settings and activity.
3. Under Your app and media, open Website permissions, then Apps and websites.
4. Select Active, find mShorts, and select Remove.

Step 2: Request deletion from VonWallace.com

Email [email protected] with the subject mShorts Data Deletion Request. State whether the request involves Facebook, Instagram, or both. Include the account name or Instagram username used for authorization, the affected Facebook Page or Instagram professional-account name or identifier if known, and enough information to locate the applicable records. Do not send passwords, access tokens, API keys, or other authentication secrets.

What will be deleted

After reasonable verification, the site owner will delete or de-identify applicable data held by mShorts, which may include stored Meta user, Facebook Page, or Instagram professional-account identifiers; access tokens; cached media and publishing metadata; content fingerprints; upload-session or media-container data; publication identifiers; and routine application records associated with the request.

Exceptions and published content

Limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, backup integrity, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements. A deletion request to mShorts does not automatically delete content already hosted by Meta. Published videos, images, or Reels may be deleted through the applicable Facebook Page or Instagram account, or the requester may specifically ask for assistance deleting authorized content.

9. Cookies and Similar Technology

This website may use cookies, local storage, session identifiers, or similar technologies to maintain preferences, support security, prevent abuse, measure performance, and provide requested functionality.
